How To Get Clear Skin – The Real Reasons You’re Still Buying Useless Products

If you ever want to know how to get clear skin, you should really do this one thing.  Stop paying attention to people who repeat the myths and perpetuate the lies and find out the real truths.  A few of the lies and myths include connections between diet and acne, why do we need to keep buying products every month instead of finding a permanent solution and the most annoying off all; washing your face to stop breakouts.

Why don't we start off with the diet and acne connection?  A lot of times if you ever mention anything about changing what you eat for how to get clear skin to a dermatologist, they'll usually say something like "It's a proven fact that there's no connection between diet and acne."  They may even cite studies and their conclusions.  What you don't hear them say is that rather than being a truly conclusive study, they were cursory at best.  The most recent and thorough of studies was done in 1970 and lasted a full 7 days.  Ponder over that for just a second. How much have we learned in the past 30 years about medicine??  Medical advances aside, a study can hardly begin to study the smallest scope of acne if it only lasts 7 days.

Also what they fail to mention is that there have been many studies on cultures outside of our own, such as the Ache, Kitavan and Inuit.  All of them at very natural diets that didn't have any processed items.  None of these people had any case of acne whatsoever.  What makes this more convincing to people who might claim "Well they have different genes" is that the Inuit were studied when they began eating a western style diet.  The results?

Acne.  Acne where they never had a problem before hand.  Clearly, diet plays some sort of function in the causation of acne and is a big component for how to get clear skin.

What about jwashing your face? I just want to scream every time someone mentions this. Acne has absolutely nothing to do with your hygiene.  Anyone who doesn't get breakouts could walk around for days without getting a single pimple.  There just isn't any connection.

Some people know there's no connection beween dirt and acne but then they'll say something like you have to take care of any extra oil on your skin. Or they'll mention the "t-zone" to reinforce the idea of excess oil.  This is one of those more common how to get clear skin myths.  Even if you could wash your face a million times a day, you'd still have acne because your oil glands are constantly producing more oil every second of the day.  On top of that, washing strips your skin of is natural oil and can cause irritation, causing even more breakouts.

Finally there is the biggest how to get clear skin myth of them all.  All of the products sold to us.  Here is my favorite metaphor about how drug companies want us to treat acne.  Imagine you have a large pool of free standing and dirty water in your back yard.  Without fail, you always get mosquitoes who love the water lay their eggs there.  Every year they come back.

You could try spraying the back yard full of chemicals that will get rid of them.  This method works great; all of the mosquitoes die....but then they come back in a year.  Your other alternative is to simply drain the pool and get rid of the problem forever.  In the same manner, that is why drug companies make all of the "wonderful" products that simply deal with the symptoms of acne.  They want us to need to come back to them.  They don't want a permanent cure because you'll never come back to them again.  This is why pretty people with great skin sell their products.  We see their great skin and think they got it by using their product.

The truth of the matter is that acne is an internal problem.  How to get clear skin has nothing to do with how much you wash or how many new products you try.  None of them will work because you're only treating the symptoms and not the real causes.

How to get clear skin is not a big secret.  You just need to treat the real problem
