6 Ways To Fall In Love All Over Again - With Yourself

by on 2010/03/13

Valentine’s Day is all about love, and you can celebrate love every single day, minute, moment and second of your existence in this wonderful and abundant Universe and with whomever you want!

It could be your parents, siblings, friends, coworkers or even your pets. Of course, the most important thing is self-love. It’s extremely important that we love ourselves completely.

So today, I want to share with you some of my most favorite things to do when I feel the need to spend time alone and show some love to myself. Here’s what I do:

  1. Create a safe and cozy nook at home with throw-pillows, scented candles, flowers and music. This is a great place to meditate in and enjoy a state of deep relaxation. (You can use the silva method or any method that works best for you.)
  2. Cook a scrumptious and healthy meal. It doesn't have to pro, the act of cooking is very soothing and calming, besides you only have yourself to impress.
  3. Take a nice long bubble bath or a long shower. Water has a powerful healing property and can help soothe your nerves.
  4. Filling a photo album with photos of special events. Reminiscing on past events and people I love, always makes me feel great.
  5. Updating my bucket list and/or vision board. Setting goals and spending time thinking about what you really love to do is always a great reminder of how great life is.
  6. Celebrate love in life. Send Valentine’s Day e-cards and postal cards to people I care about and spread some love and joy. Specially made cards or treats for friends and family will help you celebrate the many different kinds of love in your life.

And after a day of enjoying all the above within my own space and just with myself, I come out refreshed, energetic and raring to go. Now I want to know what you do whenever you feel the need to show yourself some love.
